Mother's

For many months now my mind  has been wandering around the subject of mother hood and all that it entails. It is some thing I chose to do and by the grace of god get to do every day. So it is the one thing I know. I have been thinking about how women in general often feel alone. Like we are the only one who has a messy house 24-7. We are the only mother on the block who doesn't make cookies or bake something delicious everyday.  I am the only mother that yells when my last strand of patience has been taken from me as I crawl on the floor to clean the juice that was so carelessly spelt right after I mopped. I am the only mother that get's to hear MMOOOOMMM!!! While I take the 30 second shower that  through  a tender mercy from my heavenly father I get to take.  If I could take this mother's day and do something for myself it would be to remind myself that I am not alone. I am not alone in the millions of other mothers who get up at 6 am or earlier after an all nighter with a sick baby to take care of the ones who are not sick. I am not alone in my messy house when the relief society presidency stops by to check on me. Most of all I am not alone in the inadequacies that I feel as a mother. So  I scream stop apologizing for your messy house. Stop comparing yourself to Fancy Nancy down the street. I have the spirits that chose ME to be there mother. They thought I would be the best for them. So hold your head up and know that you are not alone. We all do it. We all cry. We all yell. We all boycott house work to play with our babies or take a nap. We all get to hear and the end of the day " momma I love you"!
